Análise bibliográfica do comportamento de pesquisas em ESG no Brasil de 2010 a 2023

Introdução: Nos últimos anos, o conceito de ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) consolidou-se como referência para avaliar a sustentabilidade corporativa, impulsionando o interesse acadêmico no tema. Objetivo: Analisou-se a produção científica brasileira sobre ESG entre os anos de 2010 a 2023 na base Scopus. Método: A partir da combinação dos termos “ESG”, “environmental”, “social” e “governance” em títulos e resumos com o auxílio do software VOSViewer, foram examinados 68 documentos, sob cinco dimensões principais: instituições com maior volume de publicações, artigos mais citados, evolução temporal, redes de citação e coocorrência de palavras-chave. Resultados: Os resultados revelaram a centralidade das relações entre governança corporativa e desempenho financeiro, ao mesmo tempo em que indicaram o caráter fragmentado entre as dimensões econômica e ambiental. Observou-se um aumento expressivo da produção a partir de 2020, com ápice em 2023, em consonância com o crescimento do interesse social medido pelo Google Trends. O mapeamento por afiliação institucional demonstrou concentração das publicações em universidades de maior destaque nacional e parcerias pontuais com instituições internacionais. Conclusão: A pesquisa contribuiu para a compreensão crítica da evolução da literatura sobre ESG no Brasil, destacando a consolidação do campo, a diversificação de temas emergentes e a necessidade de maior integração entre as dimensões que compõem o termo.
