Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Dengue, Zika, and Chikungunya arboviruses are viral diseases primarily transmitted by mosquitoes of the Aedes genus, posing significant challenges to public health in various regions of Minas Gerais.OBJECTIVE: To describe the epidemiological profile of the incidence of these arboviruses in the city of Araguari, MG, and analyze the total cases by age group, predominant gender, and the number of deaths in each group over the last seven years (2017-2023).METHODOLOGY: This is a quantitative, descriptive and retrospective study with data obtained from the electronic platform of the Ministry of Health, sourced from SINAN, and extracted from TABNET/DATASUS and IBGE.RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: Over the last seven years, variations in the number of cases of the main arboviruses in the municipality of Araguari, Minas Gerais, were observed. From 2022 to 2023, there is a significant increase in the incidence of reported cases in SINAN, while in 2019 and 2021, a sharp decrease in these notifications is observed.CONCLUSION: Considering the data, it is intended that the research can be relevant for better guidance in the health decision-making process.
