Seis semanas de slide board reduz as crises dolorosas e melhora a qualidade de vida de pessoas com fibromialgia

Resumo

Introdução: A fibromialgia (FM) é uma síndrome idiopática complexa caracterizada por dor musculoesquelética difusa crônica, com pontos dolorosos específicos a palpação. O exercício parece melhorar as condições proporcionadas pela FM. Objetivo: analisar os efeitos de um protocolo de seis semanas de exercício no método slide board (SB) sobre pessoas com FM. Métodos: A amostra foi constituída de 10 mulheres, com FM aleatoriamente divididas em grupo controle (GC) e experimental (GE). O GC foi orientado a manter os hábitos de vida diário enquanto o GE realizou seis semanas de treinamento no SB.O Antes e após as seis semanas foram aplicados dois questionários para verificar os efeitos do treinamento. Resultados: Observou-se uma redução do índice de dor, além de aumentar a capacidade de executar atividades de vida diária Conclusão: o SB mostrou-se como um método de exercício aeróbico eficiente no combate às crises dolorosas na fibromialgia.
